2nd issue/September 24, 2002
Hello and welcome back to the PJ Page! It has been a while since the last newsletter was issued however now
that we have our new website up and running we will be updating frequently for your convenience. I want to
thank Fay for all her help and expertise at making the website a success. Famous you are the master ~
webmaster that is.....oh boy...well on that note lets move right along shall we?
Once again the people that frequent Pal Joey's have restored my faith in the human race as always you have
once again rose to the occasion to help someone in need ~and I do mean help! For those of you who do not know
what I am talking about let me tell you. Pal Joey's cocktail waitress Debbie Rasmussen, barely escaped with
the clothes on her back when her RV Trailer in which she was living caught fire in the middle of the nite as she
slept. She lost everything she owned with the exception of a few family pictures and even that is questionable.
We are glad to tell you she is OK and nobody else was hurt even her cat Cleo of 14 years made it out safely and
for that we are grateful. As soon as the word got out Pal Joey's patrons went into action immediately bringing
in bags of clothes and donating money. There was an overwhelming show of support and compassion for
Debbie which means as much if not more than anything to begin the journey rebuilding her life. Everybody has
been very kind and if you haven't had a chance to do something to help and you would like to just drop by the
bar and speak with the bartender and she will make sure your donation gets to Debbie. It makes me proud to
be a part of such goodness. On behalf of Debbie and the rest of the PalJoey family we want to say THANKYOU
THANKYOU THANKYOU!!!!! You all were such a great help.
Since our last newsletter we have enjoyed the sounds of a couple new bands and have booked them throughout
the remainder of the year. Pal Joey's welcomes 'The Avalanche Brothers' a rock-n-roll band and
'Nitelife' not your average blues band. So get your dancing shoes on and come on in. A band schedule will be posted soon.
We have a new KJ (Karaoke Hostess) her name is Leslie Myers. She also KJs at Rosie
O'Gradys, Ettas and Tom Foolery's. So bring all your friends and be a star every Monday evening right after Monday night Football and
complementary Pizza ~ Karaoke begins at 9pm. Now for all you POOL lovers I have some good news. Starting October 15 Pal Joey's will be having an OPEN
POOl TOURNAMENT on Tuesday's at 7pm~$5entry fee ~double elimination complete with first and second place prizes. Just chalk it
up to another good time at PJs. Well friends like they say in HOLLYWOOD
'thats a rap'!!! And so the second issue of 'The Pj Page' is written. Hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing and serving you again soon.
